February 4 - 8

Reading: We are reading Kids Play, Ways People Live and Houses. We will be working on the long a sound made by ay and ai, high frequency words (cool, dry, four, holes, move, place, warm), cause and effect, phonograms -ail and -aid and taste, smell, sound and feel.

Math: We will be doing lessons 8.1 - 8.5. These lessons focus on 10 and more, read and record numbers to 20, tens, tens and ones to 50 and tens and ones to 100.

Writing: We will be making a book for McKayren, Lesson 20, which focuses on the taste, smell sound and feel words and describing.

Handwritng: Practice, Application, # Words and #

Phonics: Vowel Y Part 2 (We have fallen behind), er, igh

Homework: They will bring their reader home on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. They will have reading homework Monday-Thursday and math homework Monday-Friday.

February speaking goes home this afternoon. They have to research an American symbol and tell us 4 facts about it. This information can come from a book, Internet or a family member. This will be due the 22nd!
